We are overjoyed to announce the births of:

Blizzard (Blitz), a little boy born at 11:36 pm (Sunday March 4th), weighing 7.1 oz.

Special Delivery (Del), a 8.0 oz little boy born at 1:20 am (Monday March 5th) on my lap in the East Derry Post Office parking lot while we were on our way to the emergency vet clinic (he was born breach and obviously believes in being fashionable late).

Nor'easter (Nora), a 7.6 oz little girl who tried to make up for her brother's tardiness by arriving just as soon as we got back to the house at 1:38 am.

Snow Squall (Squall), a 6.0 oz little girl born at 2:12 am. While she is our littlest pup, she is intense, pushing her bigger siblings out of the way to get to mom, and definitely vocal when she doesn't get what she wants!

Alberta Clipper (Clip), a little boy weighing 7.9 oz, born only 6 minutes after Squall at 2:18 am - he barely gave us time to catch our breaths!

At this point, we waited for an hour longer, decided that Buttercup was done, cleaned everyone up and put them to bed. Sarah, Mark and I were on our way to bed ourselves when we heard Buttercup cry out - we raced upstairs to her, and lo and behold, we had 6 puppies! (for those of you who don't know, this is a really large litter for a shiba).

Winter Storm (Storm), another sweet little girl, was born at 3:33 am and weighs 7.4 oz. (This is the puppy who didn't have a name for a few days - the name "Storm" seemed to be most peoples' favorite name for her, so "Storm" she is!)
