Boots came to us as a 5 year old special-needs rescue. He was supposed to stay here less than a week, but he and Norah bonded, and the rest, as they say, is history. Unlike every other Shiba I know, Boots prefers the company of children to that of adults. Boots and Norah are the same age (born only 2 weeks apart) and had both just turned 5 when Boots joined us. We are his fourth (and final) family. Boots was named by Norah after Dora the Explorer's monkey sidekick.
